What is a Google Sitemaps?

Google Sitemaps
is an special file that listed all the web pages on your website, whether your content has been changed, and that you have added a new web pages.
While this is a neat and clean feature, many website's don't need to use it.Keep in your mind that Google will find easily your site and web pages by following links.

Some dynamic websites and other sites that have problems getting their web pages indexed may find it helpful.If your sites is proper designed with neat internal links and a standard sitemap page, there is no need to use Google Site-maps.

In your mind bear that once you are signed up for the Google Site-maps program, you are updating the Sitemap XML file on a regular basis.

In this regard, it is somewhat of a support for webmasters who have search engine "unfriendly" website and don't want to change their website.It would be time better served to fix your website so that it can be crawled completely by all the search engines and to use SEO best practices than regularly update an XML file.

Your site able to get Google to crawl some of your new pages quicker, but that doesn't mean it will rank your pages any quickly.

Remember, having a web page in their doesn't equate to that page being ranked.
